UoA Early Music Ensemble takes you on a trip across the European Baroque, from Venetian canals and palaces in the music of Antonio Vivaldi, through dances written for the English and French Theatre by Henry Purcell and Jean-Baptiste Lully, and a foray into Scotland through the work of Fife-born composer Thomas Erskine, 6th Earl of Kelly. The programme culminates with a substantial orchestra suite by the cosmopolitan German composer Georg Philipp Telemann.
