2026 SCNU Intensive English Skills Course

• Listening
• Reading
• Writing
• Speaking

Eligibility requirements:

• Students must be 0.5 below the IELTS score required in a skill.  Students should have no IELTS scores below a 5.
• This course is only available to applicants on the joint program between SCNU and University of Aberdeen.

The enrolment deadline is Friday 7 August for the reading and listening courses

The enrolment deadline is Friday 11 September for the speaking and writing courses

Course Description

     SCNU Intensive English Skills Course

• Classes will be online via Microsoft Teams.
• Testing will be online, and will be proctored.
• There will be no overlap of class times, allowing students to attend courses for more than one  skills.

 

Students are expected to:

• Login to the course before the start of the course - students are required to engage with parts of the course ahead of the official start date.
• Attend all classes and tutorials, unless they have a valid reason for absence.
• Undertake additional guided study outside of class.
• Comply with instructions for online testing security requirements.
