Detailed Description
An away weekend of hillwalking and informal philosophy in Ballater with Aberdeen University Philosophy staff and students. PLEASE NOTE: this event is only open to students registered on a single- or joint-Honours Philosophy degree programme (e.g. MA Philosophy, MA English-Philosophy, including Physics with Philosophy) or a Philosophy postgraduate programme.
Costs are heavily subsidized by the Philosophy department. Hostel accommodation and travel are covered, as are breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and dinners on Friday and Saturday night. (Vegetarian/vegan options available). Lunches are not covered.
Accommodation is a mix of bunkbed and single bed accommodation in dorms. Each dorm room has an ensuite lockable bathroom including one shower. Dorm rooms will be considered, for the purposes of accommodation, ‘women’s’ and ‘men’s’ (This does not exhaust all gender categories, but for practical purposes this categorisation is helpful). Depending on numbers and preferences, one or more dorm rooms may be designated ‘mixed women’s/men’s’.
